Ken Caldeira’s group at the Carnegie Institution Department of Global Ecology and the Stanford University Department of Environmental Earth System Science is planning to use FAMOUS to engage in a wide range of investigations involving the climate system and the carbon cycle.
This work focuses on, but not limited to, understanding how various changes in boundary conditions to and energy transformations within the climate system might affect climate, biogeochemical cycles, and the biosphere.
At this time this work is funded exclusively by private foundations.
