All models suggest that it will get weaker, but by varying amounts. I am working with Remi Tailleux, Beena Balan Sarojini, and others, on trying to find a quantitative link between the surface buoyancy flux forcing and the overturning circulation strength. As part of this I have written a modset (for FAMOUS or [=HadCM3=]) to produce 3D diagnostics of all the terms in the ocean momentum and kinetic energy budgets.
